We are super excited to be elevating our Hip Hop Program for 2024!

With over 75 students taking hip hop classes weekly, there has been increased interest for us to offer more CREWS!!

What is a CREW?

Crews are Hip Hop Teams who work together to create amazing routines and are committed to growing together to be the best dancers they can be.

Where do Hip Hop Crews Perform?

As well as our regular concert, the Hip Hop Community have specialised performances and comps just for Hip Hop. They are not like "regular" dance competitions they are pretty epic, with a huge community vibe!  (Please see below).  There may also be opportunities to travel to Australian Titles interstate if crews win in Victoria.

How does my child join a Crew!?

We will be having a crew placement day on October 21, 3:30 - 5:00pm.

Placement day will involve a super fun Hip Hop class with Miss Emma for us to ensure we place students in the most appropriate crew for them!

This ensures every dancer is in the best team for them, where they can be extended to challenge their ability, without overwhelming them.

What is the cost?

The same as our regular classes in 2024. The only additional cost is a one off

costume fee (yours to keep), as the dancers will wear it for four or more performances.

We try to keep these as affordable as possible.

When are classes?

These are timetabled during for Wednesdays next year (one hour classes as usual).

​

How many crews will there be?

We are hoping to have two crews to cater for our diverse age groups.

Will you still be offering regular hip hop classes?

Yes we will still have our recreational stream of classes for those not wanting to commit to a team for 2024.

Why should my child join a team?

Being part of a team elevates the experience for students, allowing a spirit of commeradory and responsibility.  External events are also a great opportunity for students to grow as a performer and learn from seeing other dancers.
